Functions:

• Textural, structural and chemical characterisation of the materials used in the Institute.
• Development and set up of new analytical methods using different techniques.
• Analysis of samples received from other research institutes, universities and companies entailed to the Institute.

• Desecator at 110ºC.
• Laboratory water purifier Millipore Mod. Elix 10 (constant quality of >15 MWcm) with a 60 liters container.
• Water deionisation system Millipore Mod. Milli-Q (constant quality of >18.2 MWcm).
• Precision analytical balance (maximum weight 210 g and sensitivity of 0.0001 g).
• Analytical balance in S-11 (maximum weight 310 g and sensitivity of 0.001 g).
• Hydraulic press of 10 Tons for pelleting.

Requests for analysis:

The performance of each analysis requires the presentation of the corresponding petition or request form, duly complimented and signed by an authorised person. The sample for analysis must be handled in under the conditions specified in the corresponding request form. The request forms for analysis can be found in the web page of the Analytical Support Unit, in the corresponding technique.

In the laboratory of electronics and telecommunications the following main functions are performed:

Support to users of instrumentation and computers

Links related to electronics:

Area of communications (with its own Web page)

• Design, planning and start up of the data network of the Institute: intranet, extranet and Internet links.
• Management of the elements of the network by means of web tools and applications.
• Design and performance of the Internet facilities of the Institute: e-mail, architecture of the web information, mamagement of users, etc.
