Nano-particulate solid for water disinfection

Autores:Marcos Fernández García, Anna Elzbieta Kubacka
CSIC has developed a solid photocatalyst with biocide activity which can be used for water disinfection in drinking water or sewage water. The main difference with other photocatalyst is the ability to be activated by a wide spectrum of radiation which goes from infrared to ultraviolet light; making possible the use of solar light for activating the biocide effect.
An industrial partner interested in manufacturing this solid under a license agreement for its application in water treatment plants, or in water supply systems, is sought.
