The CSIC has designed a novel universal method for the immobilisation of enzymes which can be applied with no dependence of its size or its nature. The supports used are metal organic framework (MOFs) that entrap the protein into their solid structure. The method is simple and cheap and leads to solid biocatalyst with slight losses of their activity.
Manufacturers of enzymes and chemical companies interested in the use of this method, under patent license, are sought.
The ICP delivers the
scientific capacities and technological achievements of our institute to a wide
number of socio-economic sectors at both national and international levels
(companies, public organisations etc.)
via our Unit of Know-how management (UGC). Our principal objective is to
achieve that research carried out at the ICP-CSIC is transformed into a social,
economical and cultural wellbeing.
